The very comfortable Selene 54 is the successor of the Selene 53 which was, with more than 100 hulls build till date, the most popular model of the Selene range. Due this popularity the Selene 53 has been chosen several times to America’s “Trawler of the Year”. The Selene 54 keeps the popular attributes of the Selene 53, as the spacious saloon/cockpit and fly bridge, and adds the Deep Hull and Cruiser Stern which make this yacht even more stable and efficient for offshore passages. On top of that the Deep Hull adds 30 cm headroom in the Engine Room which makes it for the owner even more convenient to service the systems himself. The shipyard of Selene Yachts, Jet-Tern Marine, has built a brand new set of molds for this model, including the hull, deck, & superstructure, which ensures for a beautiful finished yacht.
The Selene 62 is a beautiful trawler yacht, which has been extremely successful all over the world. The yacht brings quality, comfort and exploration together, built under the craftsmanship of Jet-Tern Marine. The interior was designed by the internationally renowned designer Ken Freivokh, using quality teak / cherry and fine granites, complimented by beautiful fabrics. The luxurious layout consists of three bedrooms, which all have ensuite bathrooms. The full width master stateroom is completed with a vanity, full height wardrobes and writing desk. The crew quarters are aft of the engine room. The very spacious pilothouse provides very good visibility, two Diamond Sea Glaze Dutch doors and a dedicated stair up to the flybridge. The functional galley can be located in the saloon or in the pilothouse. In the last case, a dining table for six will be added the saloon. The very spacious flybridge has a “U” shaped settee, table and a boat deck that will allow up to a 4.20m dinghy. With a waterline length of 17.74m, an optional bulbous bow, a fuel capacity of 8.300 liter, a weight of almost 60 tonnes and a CE-A certificate this full displacement Ocean Trawler provides the ultimate in range and comfort at sea.
At this moment, Jet-Tern Marine has under construction the new Selene 92 Ocean Explorer and work is well underway on her hull plug and tooling. The Selene 92 will be delivered in to the Mediterranean where she is expected to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. The 92 is the result of a multinational collaboration of designers and architects under Howard Chen’s design team leadership (managing director of Jet-Tern Marine). Howard Chen has worked closely with renowned Dutch architect Guido De Groot and a group of International consultants to develop a contemporary take on the long range yacht whilst capitalizing on builder Jet Tern Marine’s high quality construction and reputation for experience and innovation in the displacement yacht sector.
A first look at the 92 shows a number of the Selene family traits with her powerful raised pilothouse, Portuguese bridge, and bulbous bow. But a contemporary twist is also apparent in the addition of the large side windows in the hull and stainless steel anchor pockets. She takes the simple and proven concept of the fuel efficient and seaworthy long range yacht to a new level of luxury and with all of the advantages of GRP construction.
