The Selene Trawler 49 Hakuna Matata left the Netherlands for the Canary Islands a few weeks ago and will cross the Atlantic and head to the Caribbean islands this month. Hakuna Matata has particularly low fuel consumption: measurements by her owner have shown that she consumes only 1.6 litres of fuel per nautical mile, or an average of 14 litres per hour at a speed of 8.8 knots. Selene yachts are very robust and seaworthy and generally have low fuel consumption, making them highly suitable for long comfortable voyages. We’ll keep you up to speed on Hakuna Matata’s journey through our newsletter and website.
