A long-range cruising trawler drawn by Howard Chen with naval architect Ted Hood, using a “Whale Back” hull to find volume that boats this size normally do not have.

The Archer hull form is the point of the boat: it carries its beam high and far forward, which turns 12.7 metres into two private cabins, two heads and a saloon that does not feel like a compromise.

A single 230 hp John Deere on a shaft drive gives 8 knots cruising and 11 flat out, on 1,892 litres of fuel. Timber joinery, teak and holly flooring and full upholstery come as part of the boat rather than as an options list.

It is certified CE Category B — offshore rather than ocean — which is the honest limit of a boat this size, and plenty for the Adriatic, the Med and the coastal Atlantic.
