The flagship: a full-beam owner’s cabin, three guest cabins, crew quarters, a hot tub and a bar on the flybridge.

As the flagship of our new Ocean Explorer series, the Selene 92 Ocean Explorer features a more open layout, larger windows, and sleeker exterior lines than a traditional trawler.

Beyond the contemporary styling and brighter interior, the 92 Ocean Explorer maintains the ocean-going performance and safety trademarks of every Selene. This includes a powerful raised pilothouse, a Portuguese bridge, and a seaworthy ‘Deep Hull’ designed for long-range yachting.

Though the Selene Ocean Explorer 92 has the size and luxurious amenities of many ‘super-yachts’, like every Selene trawler, it also boasts surprisingly good fuel efficiency and is easy to operate and maintain.

The 92 features standard twin engines, three luxury guest cabins, a spacious full-beam owner’s cabin, a laundry room, crew quarters, a hot tub, and a bar on the flybridge. And like every Selene yacht, this Selene 92 can be customised to your needs and lifestyle.

By combining the utmost in luxury, traditional craftsmanship and advanced engineering, it is no surprise that Southern Boating (Australia) named the Selene 92 Ocean Explorer one of their ‘Top Ten Long Range Cruisers’.

What you can get

Key features of the Selene 92 Ocean Explorer

Bulbous bow

Cuts pitching and wetted-surface drag, which on 158 t of displacement is felt rather than argued about. It is part of what 23,460 l of fuel buys.

Electric stabilisers at anchor

Holds her level in a rolling anchorage — 7.23 m of beam is stable under way and still rolls at rest, which is the difference between staying the night and moving on.

Electric or hydraulic bow & stern thrusters

Bow and stern together turn her on the spot, so 27.93 m goes into a finger berth without a second pair of hands. Electric or hydraulic, specified to suit the rest of the boat.

Hydraulic davit

Launches and recovers the tender without a crane or a favour, which is what makes a tender something you actually use.

Chilled water air-conditioning

Chilled water rather than split units: one plant, quieter, and it scales to 4 cabins + 2 crew cabins.

Watermaker

Makes fresh water at sea, so the 3,028 l tank is a starting point rather than a limit.

Navigation package of your choice

One electronics supplier at the raised pilothouse helm, chosen at specification — radar, plotter, sounder and autopilot talking to each other on a boat that will hold 10 kn for days at a time.

Maretron vessel monitoring

Every tank, battery and bilge on one screen, and on your phone — the boat tells you what is happening rather than waiting to be asked.

Lithium house batteries (Victron or Mastervolt)

Deep, fast-charging house capacity: a night at anchor with the air-conditioning running and the generator off.

Solar panels on hardtop

Panels on the hardtop keep the house bank topped without running the generator, which is quieter for you and cheaper over a season.

Fuel polishing system

Cleans and recirculates the tanks — 23,460 l is a great deal of fuel to trust to whatever came out of the last dock hose.

Optional hydraulic swim platform

Hydraulic, so it doubles as a tender lift and a boarding step at whatever height the dock happens to be.

Specification varies by build and by market. Ask us what is standard on a European hull.
