More room than the 46 without asking for more crew — and the option of a third stateroom.

As part of our Classic Explorer series, the Selene 49 Classic Explorer combines timeless trawler yacht styling with next-generation performance. Featuring the exceptional safety, comfort, and reliability that every Selene is known for, the Selene 49 is just as at home along the coast as it is on the open sea.

Noticeably more spacious than the Selene 46, the ‘Classic’ 49 remains easy for an owner to handle on their own. With luxurious built-in comfort and an option of a third stateroom, the Selene 49 is a popular yacht for both entertaining and living aboard.

Like all Selene yachts, the Selene 49 is built to your needs and lifestyle. From galley configuration and number of engines to customisable wood finishes, we go to great lengths to make sure you get the Selene you desire.

Put simply, by combining luxurious accommodations, advanced engineering, and exceptional craftsmanship, the Selene 49 Classic Explorer is a ‘classic’ passage-making yacht in every sense of the word.

What you can get

Key features of the Selene 49 Classic Explorer

Electric stabilisers at anchor

Holds her level in a rolling anchorage — 4.78 m of beam is stable under way and still rolls at rest, which is the difference between staying the night and moving on.

Electric or hydraulic bow & stern thrusters

Bow and stern together turn her on the spot, so 15.80 m goes into a finger berth without a second pair of hands. Electric or hydraulic, specified to suit the rest of the boat.

Hydraulic davit

Launches and recovers the tender without a crane or a favour, which is what makes a tender something you actually use.

Chilled water air-conditioning

Chilled water rather than split units: one plant, quieter, and it scales to 2 cabins.

Navigation package of your choice

One electronics supplier at the raised pilothouse helm, chosen at specification — radar, plotter, sounder and autopilot talking to each other on a boat that will hold 9 kn for days at a time.

Fuel polishing system

Cleans and recirculates the tanks — 4,921 l is a great deal of fuel to trust to whatever came out of the last dock hose.

Customisations available

Every hull is specified per owner — layout, joinery, systems and machinery, starting from 2 cabins. Two Selenes of the same length are rarely the same boat.

Specification varies by build and by market. Ask us what is standard on a European hull.
