On August 11th 2025, amidst the sound of firecrackers, our shipyard in Zhuhai successfully shipped a new 56-foot Classic Explorer (Selene 56117).
2025 continues to be a busy year for Selene deliveries. The latest is 'Barracuda', which features a dazzling Royal Blue hull and light blue bottom paint. This combination gives this new Selene Classic a uniquely attractive profile upon the sea.
To celebrate the launch, Selene founder Howard Chen presented an oil painting of the vessel as a gift to the owner, which was fixed above the staircase leading to the accommodation. A light was installed above, casting a gentle glow downwards, enhancing the warm, nautical atmosphere throughout the entire boat.
Equipped with Twin John Deere 180HP@2,400RPM engines, a ZF 220 gear box with PTO pad; Sidepower SH320 bow and stern thrusts, and hydraulic stabiliser; Onan 13.5KW 50hz 24V generator with extra Onan 6KW 50hz 12V generator, the vessel provides the superb combination of performance, stability and safety that all Selene yachts are known for.
Each side of the flybridge deck is outfitted with an 8-person liferaft, providing a total capacity for 16 people, this ensures maximum backup safety for everyone on board; In addition, the flybridge deck is also features with two wood cradles, one large and one small, to accommodate the tender and jet ski, allowing the owner to enjoy an ultimate experience in the sea.
At cockpit, the three-fold table designed by Howard maximizes space flexibility while allowing easy access to the lazarette from the hatch on floor when unfolded. And the wing door for both sides combined with the three-sided enclosure create a private space that minimizes the impact of wind and waves while the boat is underway.
